Writing a sales letter doesn't have to put a lot of "pain in your brain"...
How To Get A "Mind Transfusion" From A "Street Fighting" Copywriter... So You Can Automatically Start Lacing Together Your Own Hyper-Responsive Sales Letters...
Need to write your own sales letter? Forget studying copywriting "tricks" and "secrets"... forget those "entry-level" sales letter template programmes... and... set fire to every "how to" copywriting course you own... because...
Below Is The Real Secret To Almost Automatically Stringing Together Your Own Cash Flow Generating Sales Letter For Your Online Or Offline Promotions...
From: Michael Silk.
The Cash Flow Generator(TM)
Dear Reader,
If you can write a sales letter that brings in the money... and you can do it on a consistent basis... you will never hurt for business.
You can work as a "hired gun" for clients and charge an astronomical fee just to write a simple letter.
Or you can write solely for your own products and services... and...
Pocket All The Money Your Sales Copy Brings In
You can even do a combination of both.
You can work your own hours (3 o'clock in the afternoon or 2 o'clock in the morning). You can work from wherever you want. In an office. At your kitchen table. Sitting in your comfy armchair. Or at a coffee shop...
Anywhere In The World
I'm writing this at a coffee shop "down under" in a small suburb called Oxenford, Queensland, Australia.
You don't need any expensive equipment, either.
Just a pen and a pad of paper.
And that's all you really need in your...
Copywriting "Toolbox"
Actually, that is not entirely true.
See here is a little known copywriting "secret" nobody ever seems to talk about...
Every great copywriter has in their "toolbox" a curious looking object that is like nothing else on earth. It weighs just 3lbs. Is about the size of coconut. And ... according to Noble prize-winning scientists... is a billion times more powerful than NASA's most cutting-edge computers.
Astonishing!
Oh, and by the way...
You Already Own This Curious Looking Object
What is it?
I'll tell you in a second.
But first, know this: the ability to conceptualise and theme a "pitch in print" is 1,000 times more important (and ultimately profitable) than the actual writing of a sales message.
How do I know this?
It's easy: Take a look at any blockbuster ad or sales letter (offline or online) and... with a "trained eye"... you'll notice it success... more often than not... boils down to a great conceptual idea behind the writing.
It's the conceptual idea that infuses the copy with that "impossible-to-resist" selling power.
And if you ever want to start lacing together sales letters that trigger "on demand" cash flow surges into your business...
You Absolutely MUST Become A Great Conceptualist Of Marketing & Selling Ideas
Conceptual thinking is... by far... the most valuable copywriting skill you could ever hope to possess.
Nothing else comes close.
Conceptual thinking gives you the rare ability to conceive of an express train of a "selling story" -- right the way from the headline to the offer.
And yet, it seems nobody ever talks about the conceptual "thinking process" that goes into creating a sales letter.
Well, I am.
Because truth of the matter is, the actual writing of a sales letter is the least important factor in creating a hugely profitable promotion.
Copywriting Is "At Heart" A Thinking Process... More Than A Writing Process!
You already inherently know this to be true.
After all, unless you are illiterate... you can already write a word... a sentence... a paragraph... even a page.
And so on.
However, when it comes to the writing of a sales letter (unless you are able to conceptualise the thread of a great "selling story")...
You'll Find It To Be The Most Mentally Brutal & Exhausting Work You Have Ever Done
Think I'm joking?
I'm not. Not even close. In fact it's not unusual for an attendee of a marketing seminar I'm speaking at to privately confess to me they feel like their efforts at writing a sales letter has led them to the brink of what one poor guy described as... "a psychological breakdown."
Doesn't matter how intelligent or articulate you are, either.
Nor does it matter how experienced you are at writing sales copy.
A case in point:
Just the other week I was on the phone bunnying with a six-figure copywriter in the States and he told me writing sales copy leaves him feeling like he's "just given birth."
His words not mine!
And then there was the top copywriter who told me writing a sales letter left him feeling like he'd "just run a back-to-back marathon".
You get the idea:
Writing A Winning Sales Letter Is Going To "Hurt" You
Mentally and emotionally.
That's the bad news.
The good news is... it doesn't have to hurt. Why? The reason is I have conceived of an unusual way to "download" into your brain a "core" conceptual idea you can use to almost automatically "snap together" your own sales letter.
Even if you've never written so much as an e-mail before.
I'll tell you more about how I will fulfil on that promise in just a moment.
But first, I would like to share with you an illuminating story that will force you to "get" what I mean by the "core" conceptual idea behind a promotion.
Listen, once upon a time I was hired to write a sales letter for a company that sold a "how to learn Spanish-language" course. This home study language course was based on mnemonics - a way to "link" vivid mental images to things you want to remember (like for instance, a Spanish word).
In other words, mnemonics was the "mechanics" of how the product works.
In any case, the Spanish-language course had been put through the ringer by travel agents, banks, schools, universities and the like, and... it was proven to be three times more effective than conventional methods of language learning.
"So what?" you say.
Well, here's the "so what" of it...
If that Spanish-language company had hired a copywriter who was devoid of the capacity to come up with unique conceptual marketing ideas... that copywriter would most likely have started the sales letter promotion with a headline that reads like this:
How To Learn The Spanish-Language 3 Times Faster Than Conventional Methods Of Language Learning
Or something else equally bland.
Not I.
The unique "core" conceptual idea I came up with for the selling of that Spanish-language course was encapsulated in a headline I wrote, which read:
Forget the struggle and frustration of learning the Spanish-language the traditional way. Instead, here's...
How To "Implant" The Spanish-Language Into Your Brain... Using A Bizarre "Mind Trick" Once Used By Leonardo da Vinci... And Other Revered Geniuses!
That was the headline.
The body copy ("sales story") then went on to explain... in an intriguing and interesting way... how Leonardo da Vinci became a genius of such freakish proportions because he would use this bizarre "mind trick" (i.e., mnemonics). Thus enabling him to instantly "store and retrieve" complex and obscure information (like say a foreign language!).
Can you see what I did?
The story of Leonardo da Vinci (and his use of mnemonics) allowed me to capture and hold a prospect's attention... in a seductive kind of way... long enough to spring the sale of the Spanish-language course.
Here's the really important "take away" information: Leonardo da Vinci was never once mentioned at any point on the home study course or original promotion.
That was the unique conceptual idea I brought to the table.
It was the unique and original conceptual idea (encapsulated in the headline)... and then... "fleshed out" into an intriguing, thought-provoking "sales story" that ensured my copy...
Held The Reader's Mind "Hostage" Throughout The Entire Promotion
And the only way out of the "mind trap" I laid was for the reader to buy the product.
Another quick illustration to hammer home the critical importance of the "core" conceptual idea behind the writing of a sales letter promotion.
Recently a client hired me to write a promotion for a stock picking service. And why not? Especially since I'd already written a very profitable FOREX trading promotion for this is very same client.
So what's the sweat in writing a stock picking promotion? No big deal, right? Nothing to it, is there?
Yeah right.
For starters I hardly even know what a stock is. And secondly (in case it's escaped your notice) investors are bailing out of the stock market like there's no tomorrow.
What to do? What to do?
Well, here's what I didn't do. I didn't write anything. At least not initially. No, what I did instead was start looking for an angle. An idea. A story. Something I could "hang my writing around."
After all (with the current downturn in the markets), if I'd written a generic "here's how to make money in the stock market" promotion I would have lost the majority of readers before I got them past the headline.
And my promotion would have sunk like the Titanic.
Did I find a unique angle? Did I undercover a unique conceptual idea to hook the reader in and sneak past their negative predisposition to "playing" the stock market? I'll let you be the judge of that.
Because here's the headline I came up with for that stock market promotion...
Even though the stock market has got most investors running scared and "bailing out" of the markets...
You Can Now Use The Intriguing "Card Counting" Secrets Of An M.I.T Blackjack Team To Legally "Funnel" #122,270 Out Of The Stock Market... Before The End Of 2009...
What came after that?
In essence: The body copy (or "sales story") then sets up an interesting analogy between the way sophisticated card counters put the law of probability on their side... and... likewise... how the stock picking service also (legally) puts the law of probability on the side of anyone who follows its buy and sell signals.
You get the gist of it.
But here's what's really important:
It's the interesting and compelling story (cloaked around a unique conceptual idea) that engages, entertains... and... ensnares the mind of the reader. Seductively leading them to the emotional and logical conclusion to...
Whip Out Their Wallet... And... Buy Into The Service
Easy, right?
Let me tell you a little secret...
It took me about 3-weeks of hard "thinking time" to fully nail down the "core" conceptual idea; and then, just a few hours (over 3-days) to write, edit and polish the completed sales letter.
In other words...
Thinking Up The Conceptual Idea Was Time Consuming & Hard; Writing The Sales Letter Was Quick & Easy
You get what I'm saying?
But how does any of this help YOU?
How do you come up with your own unique conceptual idea that makes the writing of your sales letter... fast and easy?
Well, remember how I said a moment ago you already own the curious looking object possessed by all great copywriters? And you remember how I said this curious looking object weighs just 3lbs... is about the size of a coconut... and... is a billion times more powerful than NASA's most cutting-edge computers?
In case you haven't already guessed what that object is... it's called your brain.
However, unless you've got years of copywriting experience under your belt... what you do not possess (yet!)... is the ability to use your brain in such a way as to "give birth" to unique conceptual marketing and selling ideas.
Which kind of sucks!
Because, truth is...
There's no easy (or formulaic) way to "give birth" to those conceptual ideas on demand. And because that is the case, many people (including experienced copywriters with years of experience under their belt) burn up so much mental energy writing sales letter promotions.
Leaving Many People On The Fringe Of A Form Of "Psychological Breakdown"
Again, I'm not joking.
I've seen highly intelligent, robust and balanced people suffer stress... insomnia... and tension headaches the likes of which wipe them out for days on end.
And there's no getting round those debilitating "side effects" of writing sales copy.
At least not for the majority of people.
You, on the other hand, have a "get out of jail card." An "out" from the usual horrific process of writing a sales letter from the ground up.
How so?
I think you'll like the answer. Because remember how I said a few paragraphs back how I have conceived of an unusual way to "download" into your brain a "core" conceptual idea you can use to almost automatically "snap together" your own sales letter?
Well, I really have.
But look, I'm realistic enough to know you doubt the veracity of such a claim... and so... I would like now to show you how I will fulfil on that promise...
All you need to do is take a second to imagine the following scenario in your "mind's eye"...
I want you to imagine you need a sales letter written for a promotion you want to run. Online or offline, it doesn't matter.
And let's say you decide to "go it alone" and write the sales letter yourself.
That's a noble goal, and I would encourage you to do just that.
But...
Now The "Hurt" Game Begins
After all, you're now in a stare down contest with a blank piece of paper. Or an empty screen.
What to write? What to write? What to write?
And so the mental torment begins.
Sure you can "dip into" a swipe file of successful sales letters. And that's a good idea. However, what most copywriters don't tell you is this:
Swipe files can hurt you more than help you.
That's right. Swiping a proven headline from promotion A... and "stitching" it together with an offer from promotion B... and... a block of body copy from promotions C, D, E and F etc., is a sure-fire recipe for creating what I call...
"Frankenstein" Copy
What's that?
It's when all the right "elements" of copy are in place (headline, opening, story, guarantee etc.,)... BUT... they don't fit "seamlessly" together.
There's no natural flow.
Compare it with music. Music has to have natural rhythm, right? So what if you decided to write a song to go to the top of the charts - and you did so by swiping elements of music from other top of the chart songs from years gone-by?
Let's say you took the drumming from a heavy metal band... a beautiful operatic voice... the synthesiser music from a "garage" hip-hop band... the flute from a melody... and... the thumping bass of grunge music.
And so on.
What would you end up with? Would it be a "chart topper" of a song?
No, no, no, no, no!
What you'd end up with could only be described as...
A Bloody Racket!
Same principle holds true when swiping sales copy.
Unless you really know what you're doing (which most people don't)... swiping proven sales letters will kill your response.
Hmm.
Seems there's a BIG problem here. Seems you either have to be some kind of masochist to start a sales letter from scratch... or... you run the risk of producing "Frankenstein" copy if you swipe proven sales letters.
What's the answer?
How do you get into that "zone" where the writing of an "on target" sales letter just flows out of you?
Actually the answer is easy:
You NEED To Start With A Well Thought Out "Core" Conceptual Idea To Hang Your "Sales Story"Around
Once you've got the "core" conceptual idea down pat - the right words will just flow out of you like water from a fire hydrant.
It happens every time!
Okay, so we know what you need - a "core" conceptual idea.
But alas, as you also know, there's no easy (or formulaic) "secret" to coming up with that "core" conceptual selling idea.
Which leaves most people screwed from jump street.
Because frankly, it seems you either have the ability to come up with "core" conceptual ideas. Or you don't.
Sure you can nurture the ability. Kind of. But it's more an innate ability possessed by only a tiny handful of people -- much the same way a great composer can "magically" write a masterpiece symphony. You can train for years to replicate that composer's ability. But the harsh truth is - you've either got it or you haven't.
However, as you've now seen from the demonstration of examples above, it so happens my brain is "wired" to come up with conceptual marketing and selling ideas. It's an inborn ability I've honed from years of "street fighting" copywriting.
Anyway, this got me to thinking...
Is there a way I can realistically let you "pillage" my mind of a "core" conceptual idea to hang your writing around?
The good news is - yes there is!
Introducing:
Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM)
What's this?
I'll explain in a sec.
But first, know this: it's a delicate "procedure" you cannot get from any other copywriter or marketer.
Not now. And unlikely ever.
I think you'll understand why as I tell you how it will work below...
Let's back up to where you need a sales letter for your business.
And let's, once again, say you decide to "go it alone" and write the sales letter yourself.
So far, so good.
However, on this occasion, before you even put pen to paper (or tap away on your trusty computer) you pick up the phone... call me... and, say to the effect:
"Hey Michael, my head's hurting. You know the score, I got this sales letter I wanna' get down on paper... but... man, you got any ideas how I should string this thing together?"
To which I will reply to the effect:
"I hear ya'. How about you run the project by me and I'll bust my brain to come up with a great conceptual idea you can flesh out into an engaging and ensnaring sales story. Give it to me..."
And so you'll tell me about your project. Answer my questions. And at the end of that telephone call...as far as your sales letter writing problems are concerned... you get to...
Dump Your Pain In My Brain
And when we get off the phone -- I'll get very busy coming up with just the right "on target" conceptual selling idea for your promotion.
"Fast forward" 3 weeks:
What will happen is I'll jump on the phone to you for the completion of Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM). In other words, by the end of that second telephone call (about 3-weeks after the first call), you will have "downloaded" into your brain...
The "Core" Conceptual Idea You Need To Wrap Your Writing Around
Including...
- The headline thrust you should lead with (as you probably know, depending on who you listen to, this can jump response by as much as 1,900%)...
- The unique "sales story" you should write (this will enrapture and ensnare your reader)... and...
- The way to elegantly segue into your offer and close (leading the reader to the natural conclusion they need to buy what you are selling)...
And that's at bare-bones minimum.
Bottom line:
All Your Hard Thinking Is Done For You
And I'll even write your headline - or a number of test headlines - for you.
Loading it with wicked psychology... and... that "can't look away" quality you need to stand out in today's hyper-competitive markets.
Plus, you'll get the "skeleton" of a unique sales story you can easily "pack out" with your own words.
Altogether, it'll be like having my head (and the unique thinking process that goes on inside it) "surgically" appended to your neck.
And the end result will be -- you end up with the "thrust" of...
A "Stand Out" Sales Letter That Cuts Through All The Competitions "Noise" Like A Machete Through Hot Butter
Look, as far as I'm aware, you can't get what I'm offering you here from any other source.
You can't get it from any high-priced copywriting seminar... nor can you get it from copywriting books... courses... CD's... or... DVD's.
And truth be told, you cannot get it by hiring most professional copywriters.
Which means, until now, you've been "robbed" of THE "secret copywriting ingredient" required to give yourself...
The Best Possible Chance Of Making Your Sales Letter A Financial Success
And that holds true whether you use your sales letter online or offline.
So...
Are you one of the 9% who are dead-serious about giving yourself the best chance possible of making your next sales letter a financial success?
If so, you can now "put me on your side" with Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM) for just £750 (approx. $1,040).
Granted, I'm not "physically" writing your sales letter under this offer. That's why I'm not charging my £5,000 (minimum) copywriting fee. However, I am taking care of the hardest part of the "writing" process for you.
Because the actual writing process becomes almost automatic for you...
When You Know Exactly What To Write About... And In What Order
That's what you'll get from Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM).
And believe me - what you write about is far, FAR more important than how cleverly you write it.
Now for some "heart break" news:
Due to consulting commitments and "full blown" copywriting projects I'm constantly working on for myself and other clients I can... only... realistically... work with just two (2) people at a time under Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM).
Will you be one of them?
That's, of course, for you to determine. But if you value your time... mental sanity... and... the financial success of your next sales letter... you'll jump on this offer right away.
Which is easy to do.
Here's How To "Book In" For Your "Mind Transfusion" Procedure...
First, send me your financial commitment of £750 to my PayPal account.
Then, I'll contact you by email to set up a convenient time to interview you over the telephone about the project you want me to put my mind to - and we'll get the ball rolling.
But don't think about it too long!
I reserve the right to pull this offer off the table if I get too busy to take on the mental burden of everything I'm putting on my shoulders as part of Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM).
Here's the PayPal link again:
Warmly,
Michael Silk
The Cash Flow Generator(TM)
PS. This is not the same as your normal "run-of-the-mill" copywriting critique offer. Critiques have their place. But for most people - a critique is about as useful as locking the barn door after the horse has bolted.
Nor is it one of those "fill-in-the-blanks" sales letter templates that promise to solve all your copywriting problems. Sure a template will give you a crutch. But...
Relying On A Crutch Is Never Going To Win You The 100 Metre Sprint!
And in today's hyper-competitive markets - you're never going to "win the race for customers" with a template sales letter. That's why no serious marketer ever uses template sales letter software. Not even those marketers who sell it!
PPS. Still on the fence? Then think about this:
The conceptual idea is like the "skeleton"... and...the writing is like the "skin" -- therefore...
A "Hunchback" Of A Conceptual Idea Equals A "Quasimodo" Of A Sales Letter
Metaphorically speaking, of course!
And just like Quasimodo's never going to win a beauty contest; a "Quosimodo" of a sales letter is never going to generate all the sales you deserve.
The answer?
Silk's Conceptual Idea "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM) will "give birth" to a well balanced, structurally aligned sales letter for you - giving you the best chance possible of making your next sales letter a financial success...
Without Forking Out Thousands Of Pounds For A Professional Copywriter To Write It For You!
PPPS. One last thing: For every additional sales letter you want to apply Silk's Conceptual "Mind Transfusion" Procedure(TM) to - the fee is an additional £500. Therefore if you have two sales letters you want me to go to work on the investment is £1,250 (and for three sales letters the investment is £1,750 etc.).
What Kind Of Results Do My Sales Letters Generate? Take A Look For Yourself...
"In early tests we've banked £153,868.88."
"Michael, thanks for your sales copy. In early tests we've banked £153,868.88. You are most definitely one of a very few great copywriters in the U.K. who can deliver copy that could sell £1,000,000 plus of product."
(John A. Lisgo, Future World UK Ltd).
"... instrumental in helping sell $155,050.56 (£81,671.12) worth of devices in brief 60-hour weekend promotion..."
"I recently had the pleasure of working with Michael Silk on a sales project. We created a promotion for an electronic device we were looking to increase sales on. Michael's writing was instrumental in helping sell $155,050.56 (£81,671.12) worth of these devices in a brief 60-hour weekend promotion. The response was so great that we were inundated with orders. They were coming in so fast, it was difficult to manage and it took weeks to get caught up on producing and shipping orders.
"I am thoroughly convinced he is in the top ten copywriters in the world - with copy I find more persuasive than that of writers charging upwards of $30,000 per long sales letter."
(Peter Michel., Totowa, NJ, USA. T. 001-201-424-8653)
"...The results so far? Many HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of pounds which I'm confident will soon become MILLIONS..."
"We use several copywriters for our financial services products but have come to prefer Michael Silk. The results so far? Many HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of pounds which I'm confident will soon become MILLIONS - much more than any other copywriter we have worked with in the past."
(Michael Hein, FBS Limited, Gibralta).
"He made me £33,473.12 in just 5 days."
"As far as copywriting and marketing strategy is concerned, Michael Silk is light years ahead of the competition. I kid you not. He's made me £33,473.12 in just 5 days. I don't care what you have to do to secure his services - JUST DO IT." (Update: now 4-months later Michael Silk has made me £117,000 and counting).
(Greg Burns, Editor, The Profit, Glasgow, Scotland. T. 01505 358834).
"... his copy doesn't just sell product, it sells MILLIONS of pounds of product."
"I've known and worked with Michael for many years. Some of my best selling products are as a result of Michael's "amazing" sales copy. Undoubtedly he is one of the world's TOP copywriters. He has written copy for most of the top marketer's in the world.
"Unlike the majority of copywriters that rely on their own hype to sell their services, Michael is not a self promoter. His reputation keeps him fully booked at around £6,000 per letter (at that price you have to be good!). As he has said to me on many occasions 'I'm a copywriter, that's what I do... I write copy that sells product, I help people make their business successful.' Sometimes I think he forgets that his copy doesn't just sell product, it sells MILLIONS of pounds of product!"
(David Anderson, Managing Director, Pulse International Publishing Plc.
Bristol, U.K.).
"This guy is THE best copywriter I have found in twenty years."
"A while back, I met a local Canadian fellow who sells sales copy services for $15,000 a pop. And he makes very good money.
Imagine my surprise then when the man who writes HIS copy for him -- (yes, the local fellow is simply passing off the copy as his own) -- bought my book!
This guy is THE best copywriter I have found in twenty years. His letter to me blasted any competitors' way out of the water, for good. His offer was so good, so well presented, so compelling, so simple and effective, that I was FORCED to take decisive, immediate and enthusiastic action. It incorporated everything I teach about JV's and more. This copywriter lives in Kent, England, and his name is Michael Silk.
(Robin J. Elliott - President, Elliott Enterprises Inc., Canada: Suite 1106, 3071 Glen Drive, Coquitlam, BC V3B 7R1 T. 001-604-945-5754).
"... my website is now getting an extra 139% increase in response! That translates into TENS OF THOUSANDS in extra sales over the coming year."
"Michael Silk writes some of the best sales copy I've ever read, and I've studied thousands of them. He's excellent, professional and friendly. I'm always stunned at how he can quickly create jaw-dropping headlines and body copy. Thanks to him, one of my websites is now getting an extra 139% increase in response! That translates into TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in extra sales over the coming year. That's why he is one of the ONLY copywriters on the planet I've trusted enough to hire for my own copywriting projects... and I don't say that lightly."
